Ms. Allison Poppy

Hare - She/Her
Harefield Field
Burrow 13, Brambleton
Ms. Allison Poppy is a small, fluffy, gray hare. Her bright blue eyes shimmer with wonder about the world. Her ears are filled with white tufts of hair that resemble fluffy clouds. Ms. Poppy likes to wear simple, yet elegant dresses for everyday wear, leaving her more expensive gowns for parties. Her basket always has a craft she's working on and she can make anything she puts her mind to.

Allison Poppy is new to Brambleton, moving from a large city to quaint little Brambleton. She only goes by Ms. Poppy until you get to know her and only her closest and dearest friends can call her Alice.

Despite not being able to grow anything in the big city, Ms. Poppy is a natural green thumb. She wants to grow a modest farm and sell to anyone who needs crops. The little hare also has a knack for finding new seeds and nuts which she'd love to share, enjoying seeing new plants being planted.

Ms. Poppy has a big heart and is looking to find that special someone! She also enjoys tea time, parties and events where there's lots of good friends and good food. She can't wait to make new friends!

Miss Apple Underwood

Fox - She/Her
1301 Chestnut Lane
Brambleton
A red fox with bright yellow-green eyes that glint with curiosity.

Daughter to Parson Underwood and twin sister to the far more sedate and elegant Maple, Apple grew up deep in the forest faith. You've probably seen her in solstice pageants and at other similar events. She still helps out with religious events and is especially fond of helping out/playing with the kids.

Apple is a deeply adventurous and curious soul who loves to explore the forest, tracking down herbs, pigments for paints and dyes, and other useful items for her community. She can't resist finding rarer treasures, though, such as beautiful and shiny river rocks or tufts of bear fur.

Apple never turns down an adventure. If there's a tree to climb, she'll scale it. If there is a tunnel or cave to explore, she'll delve it. She loves the forest and wants to know every inch of it.

Cecil Oleander

Mouse - He/Him
7th Mudwallow Grove
Underapartment # 1
Brambleton
Cecil is a smallish mouse, of a golden tan color, black eyes, and white undercarriage. He dresses smartly, if a bit nerdy.

Raised in a small den far out in the meadow by his loving fathers and mother Albie, Frank, and Lucy Oleander; Cecil spent many of his days reading the fictional stories of “Vulpix Keeneyes: Ace Detective” and dreaming of solving mysteries.

Finally after a long job search, he said goodbye to his numerous siblings and traveled to the village of Brambleton to join the employ of Hampus Lindholm, the towns private detective and one of the founders of the neighborhood watch.

Chock full of mysteries the experience has not been, as Cecil has learned that being Mr Lindholms assistant involves far more answering of correspondence and alphabetizing truffle collections than protecting the town from thieves and the unknowable. Cecil has spent much of his new occupation working on his needlepoint while the elderly boar detective takes extravagant naps in the sun. He continues to dream of being helpful and meeting new friends in his new town.

Mrs. Eva Huffington

Hedgehog - She/Her
42 Fern Glen
Brambleton
White fur with brown and white quills. Wears freshly pressed aprons. Has a fabulous collection of hats. Uses a carved walking stick her grandchild made her.

Mrs. Eva Huffington was quite the socialite in her younger years. She settled down after marrying the Good Doctor Huffington. She still threw fantastic tea parties and social gatherings while running the apothecary and raising her children. Mrs. Huffington is now a widow, and her children and grandchildren are grown. She may be slow on her feet but her mind and her wit are still quick. She recently turned the apothecary over to her daughter, and now has time to relax and socialise. Mrs. Huffington loves to dispense advice, attend social gatherings and is ready to serve tea at the drop of the hat. She is notorious for losing things wherever she goes, and sometimes just sitting by the hearth.

Madame Irene Juniper

Hedgehog - She/Her
Hoffmann Cottage
Western Artist Way
Brambleton
Madame Irene Juniper is a round and elegant lady. She has a white face, and dark brown quills that fade to a pale color at the tips. She favors berets and sun hats and long flowing scarves which she dyes herself. She often paints the tips of her quills with her watercolors, making them match her hat ribbons and scarves. She makes jewelry out of things she finds when she goes out to forage, and sometimes jingles when she walks. She is tidy but not natty, and always has a misty and mysterious smile on her face for all her neighbors and students. Her voice has a strange lilt to it that is impossible to place and has always been there.

Madame Juniper has always been a graceful and artistic hedgehog. Even when she was a wee hoglet her mum always told her that her finger-painting was elegant and sophisticated, which is just what she wanted to hear. Her father was a post carrier, and she often got to go to work with him, sitting behind the counter, saying hello and giving flowers to all the interesting people that came to post letters to all sorts of places in Brambleton and beyond!

She always had fun not only gifting her brothers and sisters all of her grand creations, but showing them how to make them if they ever asked. It was absolutely clear that she should be an art teacher from the very beginning, and she has ever-so-happily dabbled in that field ever since. She's sold her art, been a private tutor, taught the kits and fledgelings at school, and sometimes she even runs community art classes right out of her burrow.

She's also known to throw elegant tea parties and dinner parties, and everyone's always invited. The only thing more fun than a guest, in her estimation, is a surprise guest, and when a party is on the horizon she invites her neighbors, students, and strangers she meets for the whole week beforehand. Somehow, she always has enough chairs and cushions for everyone, and she's terribly good at pairing people up for delightful conversations about things they have in common.

Miss Loretta Goldenwhisker

Mouse - She/Her
8 Burrow Underbirch
Brambleton
Loretta is often seen in sweet pastel day dresses with a white apron. Her shiny black eyes are kind, and she's quick with a smile. Her fur tends towards golden brown though her face is white with a patch of grey just above her eyebrows. She also has a lovely long tail often sporting a matching bow at the end.

Loretta has lived her whole life in Brambleton though she grew up across the way near Hedgerow. She now lives with her brother Emmett and his wife Tillie. She helps them raise up their children and run Goldenwhisker farm. While she is a skilled hand in planting, Loretta's passion is foraging and she prides herself on being able to climb as well as a squirrel. Often she will go out in the morning looking for the best berry patches or to collect wool from the old scratching tree some of the larger critters favor. She always comes home with an apronful of bounty and a story for the little ones about her journey.

Midnight Bramble

Raccoon - She/Her
Number 6 Thicket Lane
Brambleton
A little smaller than average for a raccoon, but not abnormally so. Typical markings, but a little darker coloring than average. Often looks a bit worse for wear- singed fur, scrapes and bruises, lots of patches in clothes, drips of paint- but smiling.

Personality: Very curious (bordering on nosy sometimes), adventurous, spontaneous, sweet, a good listener, socially anxious around groups of smaller creatures, loves puzzles & problem solving.

History: Midnight is an artist and crafter who hasn't settled on a medium yet, so she works in as many as she can- often paint and textiles. She does her duty on protection watch, but is anxious during her shifts- she is scared of wolves, who she was attacked by as a child. She loves exploring new areas and often hides small art pieces around for others to find.

Mr. Oliver Oullins Plum

Hedgehog - He/Him, Cloud/Cloudself
34 Sweet Berry Way
Brambleton
Oliver is a hedgehog with copper brown spines and caramel skin. He's pretty average in size, not too small and not too big. You'll rarely see Oliver with brown spines though! Cloud loves to use body paint that he makes to paint his spines light blue and white! Much like a cloudy sky!

Oliver was born in a rather large town, so he often kept to himself, as no one really shared his interests in adventuring. Cloud loved to explore the town in new ways, seeing it in different angles and in various lights. But, the thing that cloud loved the most was adventuring outside of the town. There were many more possibilities of running into ancient ruins, old buildings and more! He had a few friends in his town, with which they all shared their love of painting. Oliver particularly loves to paint cloudself and food! Whenever he paints food, he usually tries to make the food and then paint it after!

Overall, Oliver is a kind hedgehog who just wants friends to go on adventures with him. If someone asks cloud to go anywhere, he will drop whatever he is doing!

Mr. Vaughn Vermillion

Cardinal - He/Him
927 Red Maple Lane
Brambleton
Vaughn Vermillion is a bright scarlet feathered cardinal, that is well groomed even down to his bow tie. His glossy black beak is perhaps his most identifying feature, as it looks polished and buffed, and almost shines in any sort of light. His jet black eyes are kind but there is still a bit of sadness in them when he doesn't think others are watching.

Vaughn enjoys reading often finding himself engaged more with his books and research than his neighbors. It's not that he doesn't enjoy chatting or even going to events, he just hasn't taken the effort to really get to know his neighbors.

He enjoys sitting out on his porch, pipe in hand while he delves into ancient writings of a passed time. He understands multiple languages, but never speaks them, preferring to keep his knowledge to himself when others think no one would understand.

One of his most enjoyable events of the day is selecting a bow tie to wear for the day. It once took him over 2 hours to select the proper bowtie because of the compounding facts of it being a winter holiday, but there was not snow on the ground, and it was sunny, and the wind smelled like tulips...all things that made the decision quite impossible.

Ms. Whimsy Trufflesnoot

Boar - She/Her
15 Snickleberry Way
Brambleton
Whimsy is a petite pig, but don't let that fool you. Working in the sweets shop all day has given her more strength than you might expect for such a wee thing! She's a tawny golden color with a white stripe that runs from her snoot to just past her ears, and dark brown spots pepper her sides and flanks (not that anyone sees those, mind you, she's a proper lady). She enjoys wearing petticoats and pinafores- the more frills, the better- most especially if they have patterns and prints of a celestial nature as Whimsy is very in tune with divination. However, her frocks often also sport a tea stain or brush of flour from her regular activities at the shop. She has chocolate brown eyes, typical thick piggie eyelashes, and a pink snoot. And she's just so happy to see you, and so is the Beyond!

Whimsy is optimistic, loves making (and eating) sweets, sees signs and portents everywhere, regularly does divination via tasseomancy and tarot cards, and is generally eclectic.

She may come across as flighty, daydreamy, or far too silly for some, but she's a loyal friend and fearless in trying new things and visiting new places.

She's lived in Brambleton her whole life and makes a point of knowing everyone (and tell them what the Beyond has spoken to her of, regarding their futures, of course) because she believes in intuition and connection.

She owns and is often found working at Whimsy's Whiffles, in downtown Brambleton, where she makes and sells sweets, such as honeycomb toffee, mint merengues, tea lollies, and more (including her specialty, truffle truffles)!
